Ransom Naturals Ltd – Refurbishment

Scott Doors Ltd were awarded the contract to replace doors for the offices and manufacturing areas for Ransom Naturals who are based in Hitchin, Hertfordshire. They manufacture and develop botanical extracts for the pharmaceutical and health care sectors.

The contract was to survey and replace a large number of existing timber doors with new 60-minute fire rated steel doors, the survey and design process was challenging due to the varied structural openings and frame type designs required. The doors included louvers and porthole vision panels all fire rated.

The doors provided were: - 9 No. Single 60 Minute Fire Rated Steel Doors and 12 No. Double 60 Minute Fire Rated Steel Doors which were all finished in Traffic White (RAL 9016) and fitted with a variety of different hardware to suit the customers’ requirements.

The doors were installed by our own installation team to the client’s approval and within budget.

All fire rated doors supplied by Scott Doors have been tested to and passed the following standards BS 476-20: 1987, BS 476-22: 1987 & BS EN 1634-1:2000.
